The BrewDog pub in Brighton offered discounted cheese plates yesterday to those left reeling after the chaotic weekend festival.

Cheese Fest UK attendees were left unimpressed by the long queues and apparent lack of cheese on offer at the festival on Saturday. The event was held at Victoria Gardens, close to BrewDog.

Complaints made by ticket-holders in the discussion section of the official Facebook event appeared to be hastily deleted by the organisers behind Cheese Fest. The festival continued on Sunday as planned.

BrewDog offered 20 percent discounts to wristband holders on artisan cheeseboards and other food as a response to their disappointment.

Mel Sanson wrote on Facebook on a post in the Hanover Community Notice Board: “Cheezus what a cracking idea!”

However, others were seemingly not as pleased by the gesture as a debate began on the post surrounding the company’s alleged transphobia in the past.

Lucy Cage commented: “I wouldn't touch BrewDog with a ten foot halloumi fry.”

The pub’s General Manager Maria Aurora commented: “#hatersgonnahate.”
